Due to restrictions of the Correctional Center's policies we were not allowed to take pictures within the centre. But what we could do, that is give you this encouraging report!

It is hard to begin to put in words the favor that God had granted us behind these walls. It all started with the help of our dear sister Marta Frascati Lochhead from The Pas United Church. Having just finished up a meeting with the Pas Ministerial, Marta invited myself "Joel" to further discuss a outreach into the Pas Correctional Centre. As we shared it was obvious that God was  moving Northern Connections  in this direction.

So contact was made with M.J. MacDonald and Alvin Merasty from The Centre. Arrangements were made to commence the security process of those whom were going to attend the evening. We began to pray for God's hand picked team that would be used during this event. And as Gideon in the scriptures (see the Gideon story chapter 6 in the book of Judges) called out a large army to go into battle, it was the Lord whom hand picked his warriors at the end and reduced the numbers to be used.

As we prepared to go meet with our brothers and sisters at the centre, we dealt with many of the attacks of the enemy. We knew that this enemy loves to see them continue in their chains. It is because of these very attacks that we forged ahead. We knew that the enemy would suffer blows by this outreach because of his mounted defense against us. And so our Creator did not disappoint us and brought much fruit to this outreach. Because of the victory over the enemy, it has given us even greater access to opportunities to strengthen our families behind these walls

As the Grand Entry began many of the inmates rose up in respect to the Creator. After an honor song was played for both our Creator and brothers and sisters, Joel began to share what the Creator through YESHUA had done for him and what he could do for them. He recounted the story of what he had done in the past and how God was using this moment to bring both a message to them and bring reconciliation of past wrongs in Joel's life.

As the evening continued Mike Spence spoke to them sharing that he too knew what it was like to be in their shoes. Pleading with them that change is possible through knowing our Creator who had made away for us through his Son YESHUA's shed blood. This is the true meaning of the term being Blood Brothers.

Dances were performed and Leo Linklater played  a powerful song with his flute which resulted in a outstanding roar of applause from all.  With the evening coming to a close Maureen Brown appealed to all that their communities and families need them. Encouraging them to strive to reach their destiny regardless of the enemies tactics.

During the course of the evening we had met with two groups sharing approximately one hour with each.  With each group, God delivered a timely message through his handed picked team that was specifically aimed at those listening. As well aimed arrows make their way to the target, so did all of God's words delivered precisely to the hearts.

Having witness our brothers and sisters faces and expressions can testify too all of this. We had brothers come to us to remember them and their families in prayers. Invitations to travel to their communities were requested. Friendships were won in the name of YESHUA who gave us victory!

Further to this report, I was informed a week later by M.J. MacDonald's office that the evening was an overwhelming success in their opinion, fore they had never witness such an attaching of a people's identity with their spirituality before. Even the Guards were singing the praises of the success they had witness, quoting that these gatherings usually result in disruptive behaviours. So we to give all the praise to our wonderful Savior YESHUA

So now we long to visit our family again and strengthen them as our Lord gives us strength. Please continue to pray for our family and that their chains would continue to fall and fall for good.
