Northern Connections Round Table Sharing Circle

Report written by Don Brown

The Pas, Manitoba - December 2007

Early in November of '07, after a redirected trip to Costa Rica, Joel Molin had an urgency to gather like-minded believers to share what God had been doing and also to seek Him for future direction. Joel Molin contacted a number of people who were all connected in some way and asked them to pray and consider gathering around the beginning of December. Still Life Retreat Inn  , just north of Toronto, was to be the meeting place. God worked out an amazing number of details in short order to have about twenty of us together for a most anointed and precious weekend. Many other who couldn't be there were also interceding for the weekend.
People arrived at various times on Friday evening and Saturday morning. No one really knew why there were there but all knew that they had to be there and the Lord ministered to each one without exception. There was such an expectancy. (like the believers in the book of Acts). The word of God framed the direction for the weekend along with people's stories of faith and testimonies of God's grace.
It was Joel's desire that everyone had opportunity to share what was on their heart. An amazing mosaic of worship, ministry, revelation, exhortation and the presence of the Lord developed. Unity in the Spirit produced such a transparency and openness and we felt like we knew each other forever. At one point, people laid down their expectations only to find that God had something much greater in store.
The underlying theme of the weekend was that God was looking for a sold out people who would go to the nations and labor with Him in the harvest field. It's time to put your hand to the plow and not look back. And as you go, there will be great power, great grace and no lack. We are being sent out as ambassadors of the manifold wisdom of God. It's also about relationship, with the Lord, and with those we labor with and minister to. Healing, deliverance, and signs and wonders come as we step out and step into our destinies. Obedience is key! “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord and the people whom He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12)
The nations are waiting and expecting God to bring them something. It is God who compels us to go and to love and to give.
For some, this weekend was a refocusing and rekindling, for others it was a confirmation of what God is doing, and still for others it was a paradigm shift, a chance to see the big picture. We saw something of the wonder of God this weekend and the Lord ministered to everyone in a unique way and God's grace touched every soul present.

Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.

Psalms 2:8

I will say to the north, Give up and to the south, don not hold them back; bring my sons and  daughters from the end of the earth; all who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made. Bring  them back all who are blind and deaf, though they have eyes and ears. Let all my nations be gathered together, and let my peoples be assembled: who among them can declare my Glory...

Isaiah 43:6-9
